GreenBuild coming to Philadelphia in 2013
GreenBuild is the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building, featuring three days of inspiring speakers, invaluable networking opportunities, industry showcases, LEED workshops and tours of the host city’s green buildings.
In 2013, Philadelphia will serve as host for GreenBuild, anticipated to bring over 30,000 professionals from all over the world. The Delaware Valley Green Building Council will be the official host chapter, and is leading efforts to ensure that the conference increases investment in the region and positions it as a vibrant, sustainable, culturally rich place that people want to live, work, and learn.
One way to get involved now is to participate in the 2013 pledge challenge. The EEB Hub has pledged to support the full-spectrum retrofits of 3-5 regional commercial buildings. Can you, your organization, business, church, or school make a specific pledge to ensure that current and future generations have access to a healthy environment, good jobs, and the opportunity to contribute to better communities?
The Greenbuild 2013 Host Committee will have subcommittees for a Legacy Project, Tours & Education, Volunteers, Sponsorship, Greening, Sponsorship, and Community Engagement & Social Media. Committee applications are now open, and the deadline to apply is August 3. Apply today!
There are a variety of other ways to get involved in GreenBuild, starting now. Visit http://dvgbc.org/greenbuild-2013 to register your interest, get involved in a committee, or become a GreenBuild partner.
